SECTION 6 – OPERATION
275953-B / 245353-F
Only use the fume extractor to ex-
tract weld fumes. Do not use the
fume extractor to extract hot gases
(above 140° F/60° C), wood or ce-
ment dust, engine exhaust, liquid
vapors, explosive materials, ag-
gressive fumes (acid), fumes from
burning objects, or fumes from
cleaning, cutting, gouging, grind-
ing, painting, flame spraying, sand
blasting, or other non-welding
operations.
Do not position the fume extractor
nozzle in any location that will al-
low the weld fumes to be pulled in-
to the operator's breathing zone.
Minimize cross drafts that affect
fume extraction by closing doors/
windows and/or installing weld
screens/curtains.
1 Power Switch With Circuit Breaker
Protection
Use switch to turn unit On and Off
The power switch contains a circuit breaker
that protects unit from overload. Turn unit
Off, then On to reset circuit breaker.

If circuit breaker continues to open,
contact a factory authorized service
agent.
2 Filter Monitoring Light
Light indicates if filter is dirty or collection
hose is blocked. Stop welding and clean or
replace filter when light goes on or whenever
air flow is too low to extract fumes. See Sec-
tion NO TAG for filter cleaning information.
3 Air Flow Control
Use control to adjust air flow (suction) for the
application. Turn control clockwise to in-
crease air flow; turn control counterclockwise
1
to decrease air flow.

Set Air Flow control at level 6 before
starting unit. After unit starts, reduce
air flow to desired level.
