Connecting lead PSG
Material damage can be caused by an incorrect connection!
Incorrect polarity can lead to data transmission errors and to
damage to the device.
Ensure polarity is correct when you assemble the universal
cable.
2. Assemble the universal cable with the appropriate plug.
Adapt PSG settings individually if necessary. Settings depend on
the combination of therapy devices with the PSGs of different
manufacturers and the results desired.
Always perform work on unknown systems in discussion with a
representative of the PSG manufacturer, for example, or the IT
department. This will avoid claims for damages in the event of data
loss or third-party companies being called in.
Note the following when adapting PSG settings.
•
Adjust the PSG so that the signal from the therapy device is
always displayed correctly in the polysomnogram - in other
words, the prevailing voltage is correctly converted into
pressure or flow, for example.
•
To achieve a correct conversion of voltage into the output
signals, set the physical value range, the associated electrical
value range and the scanning rate for the signals in the PSG
system.
Example
•
Physical value range: 0 - 20 hPa
•
Electrical value range: 0 - 1 V DC
•
Scanning rate: minimum 32 Hz, recommended 64 Hz
The scanning rate is specified by many PSGs so that the PC
software can process the signals.
