Minimum window/door opening

This depends upon:
a. the output of the exhaust air unit in m³/h.
(note the nameplate)
b. the size of the window/door to be opened
in m²
c. the size of the opening of the window
in cm.
In most cases, rectangular tilt-and-turn win-
dows are installed. Contact your professional
installer or the district chimneysweep for the
calculation of the minimum opening.

Technical solution for complying with the

Heating Appliances Ordinance

The solution to this is the Free-control extrac-
tor hood control system. The combination of
wireless receiver 1-channel/3-wire and wire-
less magnetic sensor or wireless adapter and
wireless magnetic sensor makes it possible to
upgrade in order to meet the requirements of
the Firing Directive in a simple and uncom-
plicated manner. Here, a wireless magnetic
sensor is installed on the ventilation source
(window/door).
Variant 1: The connection wire of the extractor
hood is connected to the switching contact ↑
of the 1-channel/3-wire wireless receiver.

Variant 2: Simply plug the wireless adapter
into the safety outlet. The connection wire of
the extractor hood should have a safety plug.
Plug the safety plug of the connection wire
into the safety outlet of the wireless adapter.
As soon as the monitored window or door is
opened, the wireless magnetic sensor sends a
radio signal to the 1-channel/3-wire wireless
receiver or wireless adapter.
The wireless receiver then switches on the
power supply to the extractor hood. If the
window/door is closed, operation of the ex-
tractor hood is not possible.
Note:
This combination of devices cannot replace
monitoring of the fresh air supply by the user,
but can only supplement it. In order to prop-
erly assess whether the initiated measures
are sufficient to prevent danger, the responsi-
ble master chimneysweep should be contact-
ed in case of doubt.
