Installation
Wall brackets and cleats
1. Measure the location where to install the surround's
wall brackets and bottom cleats around the
fi replace; mark the wall.

2. Drill the wall and fi x the brackets and cleats with the
following:
a. Wall brackets
The upper wall brackets partially
install over the vertical studs
at each side of the appliance.
Wood screws (not supplied) may
be used into the wood studs for
the outer holes and metal toggle
bolts (not supplied) may be used
through the non-combustible
board for the inner holes. Non-
combustible sheet metal backing
under the non-combustible board
may also be used to screw into.
b. Bottom cleats
Provide wood backing behind wall
board and use wood screws to
fasten bottom cleats otherwise
use standard wallboard anchors
and screws if no backing is
provided.

Cast inlay panels
Decorative inlay panels
1. Identify the top inlay panel and the vertical side
ones. The top panel is longer than the side panels.
The side panels are identical.
2. Screw in each to the front of the cast surround with
the screws provided (3 screws each).
Custom-made inlay panels
If using custom-made non-combustible inlay panels
such as tiles, etc. keep in mind temperature can
exceed 200º F at the top. Choose material accordingly.
Glue the panels to the cast surround using high-
temperature adhesive such as Liquid Nails
adhesive for extreme temperatures and conditions.
