4.5
Replacing diaphragm in the actuator
(see also the figures on page GB 10 and page GB 11).
a)
Interrupt the supply air intake to the positioner.
b)
Sever the screw connection (8 9 10) on the outer perimeter of the actuator, proceeding as follows:
– first all short screws
– finally, the two long screws
Caution!
!
The compression springs (3 or 6 or 12 springs) fitted in the actuator have been subjected to pretensio
ning and are relaxed on loosening the two long screws. Loosen the long screws uniformly, step by step.
c)
Remove compression springs (6)(only for direction of action "air opens/spring force closes").
d)
Unscrew nut (13) from the spindle (12).
e)
Replace diaphragm (in the case of direction of action "air opens/spring force closes", the diaphragm plate (4) must
first be removed from the spindle (12).
f)
Mount while proceeding in the reverse order.
4.6
Replacing /supplementing compression springs in the actuator.
(see also the figures on page GB 10 and page GB 11).

c)
Replace or supplement compression springs (6)
d)
(in the case of direction of action "air closes/spring force opens", the nut (13) must first be unscrewed from the spin
dle (14) and then the diaphragm plate (4) with the diaphragm (3) removed.
e)
Mount while proceeding in the reverse order.
4.7
Replacing gland fitting in the valve
(see also the figures on page GB 10 and page GB 11).
a)
Separate actuator from the fitting (see Section 3 for description)
b)
Withdraw base flange (107) with seal (116) from the housing (112) and replace the seal (110).
c)
Mount while proceeding in the reverse order.
4.8
Replacing cone in the valve
(see also the figures on page GB 10 and page GB 11).
a)
Separate actuator from the fitting (see Section 3 for description)
b)
Withdraw base flange (107) with seal (116) from the housing (112).
c)
Take out cone (105) and replace it.
d)
Mount while proceeding in the reverse order.
