8. On this occasion, also take out the motor protection fil-
ter (Fig. 27/1).
9. Tap the dirt out of this filter over a dustbin as well.
10. If the motor protection filter element (Fig. 28/1), the cen-
tral lamellae filter element (Fig. 28/2) and the filter
screen (Fig. 28/3) are still dirty after thorough dry clean-
ing, thoroughly rinse them with cold water (Fig. 28).
ATTENTION:
The filter elements are washable, but may not be
cleaned in dishwashers or washing-machines. Also, do
not use detergents or brushes with hard bristles to clean
the filters. Let the filters dry for approx 24 hours at room
temperature after cleaning. Only put them back into the
appliance when they are completely dry.
11. If the filter elements are damaged or too dirty for wet
cleaning, replace them by new ones( Chapter 5.2,
3
"Spare parts").
12. Put the new or cleaned motor protection filter element
back in place.
13. Lock the central lamellae filter onto the dust container
cover again by turning it clockwise(Fig. 29). Make sure
it is fitted correctly as otherwise the filter screen will not
lock into place.
NOTE:
If your vacuum cleaner is also equipped with a filter
fleece (optional), put a new or cleaned filter fleece over
the filter screen now,
the optional* filter fleece".
14. Insert the filter screen again by turning it clockwise
(Fig. 30).
15. Push the cover onto the dust container again. When at-
taching it, make sure the tab engages the correspond-
ing groove.
16. Place the dust container back into the cylinder vacuum
cleaner and turn it to the left (Fig. 31).
17. Close the housing cover (Fig. 31). The release buttons
must click shut audibly. Check that the housing cover is
fitted securely.
