in private households, this inspection is not mandatory; however it is
required by law in public areas.
All steel components are protected by powder coating or chrome plating. The
pivot points are self-lubricating and maintenance-free.
Maintenance tasks may only be carried out by qualified and tech-
nically adept personnel. Improper maintenance or repairs that cause
damage to the bed will void the warranty.
All repairs to the motors, controller and motor accessories must
be performed by Linak, an authorised Linak service centre or a service
technician trained by Linak. The opening of any Linak components will
void the warranty.
The bed may not be modified without the express written consent
of DOC AG. After an authorised modification, the bed should be subject-
ed to a thorough inspection and tested for functionality and safety.
Never carry out any repairs or maintenance on the bed while it is
being used.
For the annual inspection, use the checklist in the Annex to this
operating manual.

Care instructions for technical components
Motors/controller
Before cleaning, disconnect the mains plug. The motor/controller should only
be cleaned with a dry or slightly moistened cloth. Do not use solvents (petrol,
alcohol, etc.) and avoid ingress of liquids. Do not use household detergents. If
motors or push rods are heavily soiled or insufficiently coated by a greasy film,
clean them with a dry cloth and re-grease with Teflon (PTFE) spray.
Manual switch
The manual switch is maintenance-free. Clean the housing with a slightly
moistened cloth. Do not use aggressive detergents or abrasives, or petrol,
