6 | How to use

6.1 | Preparation

Before using the Craft-Meyer Lift Stand, it is imperative that you check whether the motorcycle meets
the basic requirements: the design of the rear swing arm must be suitable for the lift stand. Swing
arms of the types shown in the safety instructions are not suitable under any circumstances. The
individual swing arm must have a box profile, as shown in the drawings above. Check whether the
supports on the lift stand match the shape of the swing arm.
We recommend loosening any tight screws (axle nuts etc.) before raising the motorbike.
The width of the Craft-Meyer lift stand must be set to the respective motorcycle. To do so, a second
person holds the vehicle firmly in an upright position. Unfasten the grub screws (no. 6) on the jacking
arms (no. 1) and hold the lift stand against the swing arms of the motorcycle from behind. Shift the
jacking arms (no. 1) on the square connecting tube (no. 2) so that the swing arm supports (no. 3)
fit completely under the swing arms, and then re-tighten the grub screws (no. 6). It is imperative
to make sure that the supports on the lift stand support the respective swing arm with the entire
surface. Never raise the motorcycle alone. You must always have a second person with you to hold
the motorcycle securely in an upright position.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage!
Do not lift the motorcycle when it is standing at an angle on the side stand
because the initial uneven load distribution will cause damage to the Craft-Meyer
Lift Stand and may cause the motorcycle to slip and topple over.

6.2 | Jacking up

Place the lift stand with the supports against the rear third of the swing arms so that they rest
securely over the entire width of the arms, but the raised vehicle does not slip from the supports.
To prevent damage to the lift stand and your motorcycle, do not place axles, wheel adjustment
components, bobbins, shock mounts or other projecting parts of your motorcycle on the swing arm
supports. If the lift stand is positioned underneath the motorcycle properly and in accordance with
these instructions for use, the lift stand can then be pushed down firmly, slowly and evenly with the
