4.2 | Safety instructions
WARNING!
Risk of toppling!
• The Craft-Meyer Lift Stand is designed exclusively for jacking up/raising
motorcycles, and must not be used for other purposes.
• Before using the lift stand, it is imperative that you check whether it has been
assembled correctly and that all the screw connections have been tightened
properly.
• Only one two-arm motorcycle box-type swing-arm must be used for jacking
up. The Craft-Meyer Lift Stand must not be used with triangular swing arms,
banana swing arms, single-sided swing arms, swing arms with bottom strut
and motorcycles with driveshaft.
• The full width of the swing arms must rest on the lifting cups so that the
motorcycle can be supported safely and securely.
• It is imperative that the lift stand is always operated by two persons.
• Only use the lift stand on a perfectly level surface with sufficient load-bearing
capacity (e.g. asphalt, concrete, stone). In order to prevent the motorcycle from
slipping/toppling over and avoid the resultant damage, never use the lift stand
on loose sand or soft earth.
• Make sure no brake lines or brake linkages can be squashed or bent when
using the lift stand.
• Placing your fingers, hands or other body parts under the vehicle whilst it
is jacked up is strictly prohibited. The same applies when in the process of
jacking up or lowering the vehicle. Pay attention to the persons involved.
Always make sure that there are no other persons or pets in the vicinity of the
vehicle while it is jacked up.
• Do not under any circumstances lean on the raised vehicle – there is a risk of it
toppling over.
• Sitting on the motorcycle raised using the Craft-Meyer Lift Stand is strictly
prohibited.
• Once jacked up, a motorcycle must not under any circumstances be
manoeuvred.
WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities (e.g. partially disabled persons, elderly persons with reduced physical
and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children)!
• The Craft-Meyer Lift Stand must not be used by children or persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities, or those with a lack of experience
and knowledge of dealing with motorcycles.
• Packaging film and small parts are amongst the items included. Keep these out
of the reach of children, as there is a risk of asphyxiation.
