Problem
The coffee takes longer to brew.
The coffee has an acidic taste.

Probable cause
The coffee maker needs to be descaled.
Insufficient rinsing after descaling.
Coffee maker only makes 14* cups
maximum of water: do not exceed this
amount.
* 12 cups, only DCF6212TTC models.
The machine must stay in a flat position.

Troubleshooting
Solution
Descale the machine as described in the
section DESCALING.
Rinse the machine as described in the
section DESCALING.
On the back of the unit there is a over-
flow hole protection: if coffee maker is
over filled, water starts to spill out from
this hole.
