Starting the engine
The unit is protected against low oil level. When the oil
level is too low, the unit cannot be started (oil indicator
turns on in case of attempted starting).
WARNING: When starting with the reserve starter, the
motor may recoil suddenly as it starts up, resulting in
hand injuries. Wear gloves!
Operation
Generating sets may only be loaded up to their rated
power under the rated ambient conditions.
The equipment must not get exposed to moisture or dust.
The allowed ambient temperature is from -10°C to +40°C,
height: 1,000 m above the sea level, relative air humidity:
90% (non-condensing) If these values are not kept, power
losses may result.
Overload protection
The generator is fitted with an overload cut-out. This
isolates the relevant sockets if an overload occurs.
Important. If this happens, reduce the electric power you
are taking from the generator or remove any defective
connected appliances.
Always place the unit on a firm and flat surface! No tur-
ning or tilting or moving during operation.
The unit must never be uncovered.
Turn the unit immediately off in the following cases:
• When the engine is running restlessly or unstably
• When the electrical power output has decreased
• When the connected appliance gets overheated
• Excessive vibrations of the unit
• Sparking
• When there is smoke or fire
• Abnormal vibrations or noise
• When the engine seems to be overloaded or is about
to fail
