We recommend that, ideally, you fi ll the water tank with distilled water to prevent
calcifi cation, especially if the hardness of your tap water is very high.

Use

ATTENTION!
• Scalding hazard! Never point the steam towards people, animals, plants or equip-
ment containing electric components (e.g. stereo systems, televisions, switches,
lights, microwave devices etc.).
• Scalding hazard! Only hold the device by the handle during operation.
• Scalding hazard! After deactivating the device, hot steam is emitted for a few sec-
onds! Even after the device has cooled off, the water in the tank is still hot! Be careful!
• Always shut off the device and pull the mains plug out of the socket before you re-
move the fl oor cloth or change the nozzle.
• Scalding hazard! The fl oor cloth /the steam nozzle may be very hot during and shortly
after use. For this reason, wait a few minutes for the fl oor cloth / steam nozzle to cool
off completely before you remove it.
• Each time before using the device, check the fl oor cloth for wear. It may not be used
if it is visibly worn down or is damaged. Otherwise it could damage your fl oor.
• Only use the device when it is functional and has been completely assembled and the
fl oor cloth has been attached for cleaning the fl oor.
• Never apply the vapour stream to one area for more than approx. 10 – 20 seconds.
Otherwise, it could damage the surface.
It is recommended that you briefl y sweep the fl oor surface with a broom or
vacuum it before using the device.
1. Assemble the device (see chapter "Assembling the device").
2. Fill the water tank (see chapter "Filling the water tank").
3. Attach the fl oor cloth to the cleaning head and pull the draw string tight so that the
fl oor cloth doesn't slip off of the cleaning head.
Use the enclosed carpet cleaning adapter to clean carpets. To do so, place
the carpet cleaning adapter on the carpet you intend to clean and place the
cleaning head with the fl oor cloth on the carpet cleaning adapter.
4. Park the device in an upright position. The hinge of the cleaning head locks in when
in an upright position.
5. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
6. Move the On/Off switch on the front of the main unit to position I. The On/Off switch
illuminates once the device is activated.

1. Open the water tank cap.
2. Tilt the device back approx. 45° to facilitate fi lling the water
tank.
3. Use the enclosed measuring cup to fi ll the tank with cold,
clean water. Do not fi ll the water tank past the MAX mark.
4. Close the water tank cap.
