water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in water,
immediately disconnect the power supply.
• Never touch the device, the mains cord or the mains plug with
wet hands.
• The steam may not be pointed directly towards the mains cord
or parts containing electric components (e.g. stereo systems,
televisions, monitors, switches, lights, microwave devices etc.).
• Never leave the device unattended when plugged in to the
mains supply.
• Turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket
– if you are not using the device,
– before removing / attaching the fl oor cloth,
– before fi lling/emptying the water tank,
– in a storm or
– before you clean/stow the device.
• If you would like to remove the mains plug from the socket, do
not pull on the power cable, but always on the plug.
Caution: Damage to the device and property
• Each time before using the device, check the fl oor cloth for wear.
The cloth may not be used if it is visibly worn down or exhibits
damages. Otherwise it could damage your fl oor.
• Only use the device when it is functional and has been com-
pletely assembled and the fl oor cloth has been attached for
cleaning the fl oor.
• Only use the accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
• Always work with suffi cient lighting.
• Do not insert anything in the openings / nozzles of the device
and make sure that they are not plugged.
• The water tank cannot be removed! Use the enclosed measur-
ing cup to fi ll the water tank!
• Never add cleaners or other additives to the water tank. They
may irreparably damage the device and as such, the safe oper-
ation of the device can no longer be assured. Use cold distilled
water or cold tap water to fi ll it.
