Putting into operation

Place the assembled appliance-and-bottle unit
where it is level and can stand firmly.
Remove all combustible materials from the
appliance. Align the appliance so that it is unable
to heat any combustible materials.
Open the gas bottle valve.
Turn the button (10) of the safety cock (9) clock-
wise to "max" position (arrow at its widest).
Press the button (10), wait a few seconds and
then hold a flame against the lower section of the
radiator.
Keep the button pressed for approx. 20 seconds
after ignition. The tap should then remain open. If
not, repeat the ignition operation.
Infinitely variable adjustment toward the Min.
setting is possible by turning the button
anticlockwise.
To switch off the unit, turn the button of the safety
cock clockwise as far as the stop (position 0) and
close the gas cylinder valve (12).

Changing the gas bottle

It is imperative to be outdoors far away from any
flames or fire points, and in an area cleared of all
other persons when following these procedures.
Close the gas bottle valve (12) .
Unscrew the pressure regulator (7).
Undo the clamping screw (11) and remove the
appliance.
Make sure that the seal of the pressure regulator
is in position.
Place the appliance on the new gas bottle and
proceed as described in the section „Mounting the
appliance on the gas bottle".

Important safety instructions

This appliance is only to be used outdoors.
Never operate under ground level.
Never move the appliance while it is in use.

Never lift the appliance by its parts when
mounted on a bottle.
Never ignite near the nozzle at the rear.
Keep the radiator at least 2 m from any
combustible materials.
Keep a distance of 50 cm between walls and
the back or sides of the appliance.
If gas escapes (smell), close the gas bottle
valve immediately and keep the appliance
away from all points of fire.
Check all connections for leaks.
If gas continues to escape, notify the filling
station.

Maintenance and storage

If the pipe is damaged (cracking, scorching, etc.),
it has to be replaced without fail.
Use a standardized pipe (DIN/DVGW 4815-2).
Protect the appliance from damp and dust.
In long periods of non-use, remove the appliance
from the gas bottle and store with a cover over the
radiator.
Contact the customer service department if any
malfunctions or defects arise.
Safety instructions
The appliance is to be installed and serviced in
accordance with the laws and regulations of the
country where it is used.
Never turn the gas bottle on end, even it appears
to be empty! This could clog the pipe with
residues from the gas bottle, causing immediate
damage to the appliance and creating a fire risk.
Never dismantle the safety grille and/or any other
parts of the burner.
If you detect any loss or smell of gas, you must
turn off the appliance by closing the gas bottle
valve.
Keep children away from the burner.
The safety grille on this appliance is designed to
prevent fire risks and burns. It does not provide
absolute protection, however, for children or
disabled persons.
Never leave the appliance to work unattended!
