8. Click OK.
The connection is displayed in the "Instrument Connect" dialog.
9. Select the new connection named "R&S ETC".
10. Click "Connect" to establish a connection to the R&S ETC.

Using the USB Interface

Before establishing a connection, you need to make sure that the R&S ETC and
computer configurations meet the following conditions:
● The computer and R&S ETC subnet masks are identical.
For the USB connection, the R&S ETC uses a fixed IP address: 172.16.10.10. The
subnet mask is 255.255.0.0.
● The last two number blocks of the computer IP address differ from the last two
number blocks of the R&S ETC IP address.
For example, with the first two number blocks fixed, the computer could have the
following IP address: 172.16.66.5.
● The R&S ETC View software is installed on the computer.
Configuring the Computer
► Assign an IP address and a subnet mask that meet the conditions above.
