R&S ETC Operating the Instrument in a LAN
Establishing the Connection
1. Make sure that the R&S ETC and the computer are switched on.
2. Connect the R&S ETC directly to the computer with the supplied LAN cable. For
details on the LAN interface see chapter 2.2.7.
3. On the computer, start the R&S ETC View software.
4. In the "Instrument Connect" dialog, select the "LAN" tab.
5. Click "Add" to create a new network connection.
6. In the "Name" field, enter the name for the new network connection, e.g. R&S ETC.
7. In the "IP Address" field, enter the IP address set for the R&S ETC, e.g. 172.17.75.1.
