ASSEMBLY OF THE SYSTEMS

5.1

Safety rules

• The systems should be set up at right angles and on a
base that has adequate load supporting capacity.
• Only undamaged and fault-free geniune parts of the
systems of the manufacturer should be used.
• Only self-locking nuts should be used during assem-
bly or repair.
• Self-locking nuts should be used only once.
• The assembly should be performed only by trained
staff.
Trained staff means staff having technical skilled
worker training, who are in a position to execute as-
sembly and repair jobs in their corresponding techni-
cal area.
• Guard rails are to be attached from a platform height
of >500 mm.
• After the assembly, the total system must be checked
for proper installation.
• After the assembly, please check that all nuts and
screws are tight. When tightening screw fasteners,
use a torque wrench. The tightening torques are giv-
en in description of the assembly.
• Wall fastening brackets and ground brackets must be
mounted with technically approved dowels. The as-
sembler is responsible for the fitting and installation
and has to check the anchoring base thoroughly for
suitability. For further information, consult a struc-
tural framework expert or a consultant of the dowel
manufacturer. Dowels are not included in the deliv-
ery.
• For mounting the constuctions, the works listed be-
low for central pull, transverse pull and oblique pull
must be accepted under each angle and mounting
point.
