1. SAFETY CAUTIONS
TRANSLATION OF ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS
READ THESE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING
THE UNIT!
WARNING:
• Do not touch hot surfaces.
• Do not turn the kettle power on when there is no water in the
jug (the unit has a boil dry mechanism which shuts it off ).
• Do not fill the kettle above the maximum level of 1.7 litres.
Above this limit there is a risk of boiling water escaping from
the spout and causing burns.
• Do not open the lid of the kettle while it is boiling or while it
is being used to pour water in order to avoid any risk of burns.
• Do not immerse the kettle or power base in water or any other
liquid. Ensure the electric kettle socket is kept dry.
• The surface of the heating element remains hot after use.
• Ensure to regularly descale the appliance (see point 5 in the
manual).
• Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning.
Never leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. To
unplug, pull on the plug, never on the lead.
• Do not use this appliance if the lead is damaged or if the
appliance has fallen or appears to be damaged.
• If the lead is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
very hot surface.
