Avoiding damages:
· Use the shock absorber kit DGEA−...−YSR , especially in vertical operation
(è www.festo.com/catalogue).
If mounted correctly, the shock absorbers will brake the mass so that it does
not punch through and does not strike the stop on the shock absorber retainer.

The shock absorber retainers are not intended as fixed stops that may be
moved to in normal operation. They serve only as a protective measure during
commissioning errors.
· Mount the shock absorber kit in accordance with its operating instructions.
To prevent contamination:
· Use slot covers (accessories) in all unused grooves.
Electrical installation
· Connect the elements of the electric controller to the respective controller
interface or the emergency stop chain (refer to the relevant operating
instructions):
Motor
Reference point switch
Hardware limit switch
Safety limit switch
Installing circuitry
Note
If used in safety−relevant applications, additional measures are necessary. In
Europe, for example, the standards in the EC machinery directive must be
observed.
Without additional measures in accordance with statutory minimum
requirements, the product is not suitable for use in safety−related sections of
control systems.
