k) Fader start function
The appliance allows you to start the respective CD player from the mixer.
Condition for using the fader-start function:
The fader-start function can only be used if the appliance is connected to a compati-
ble mixer. The dual CD player or the mixer can be damaged by connecting an unsuit-
able mixer.
1. The CONTROL-START socket of the respective CD player must be connected to the corresponding
control output on the mixer with the supplied 3.5 mm jack-plug cable .
2. The audio outputs of the CD player must be connected to a corresponding audio input on the mixer.
Procedure:
Insert a CD in the CD player and select the desired track. The CD player starts to play as soon as the corre-
sponding button or slide control (usually CROSSFADER) is operated on the mixer. The CD player switches
to pause mode at its CUE mark if the mixer control is returned to its original position.
The fader start function is a CUE mark start function. This means the CD player starts to
play from the CUE mark as soon as the starting command is received from the mixer. The
CD player returns to the CUE mark and switches to pause mode due to the stop command
from the mixer.
Functional description:
The control command from the mixer is transmitted to the CD player by means of the 3.5 mm mono jack-
plug control cable. The positive terminal (tip) of the jack plug is connected briefly to the audio earthing by
means of the starting command. The negative terminal (shaft) of the jack plug is connected briefly to the
audio earthing by means of the stop command.
l) Switching off the appliance
Take the CDs out of the CD compartments before switching off the appliance. Close both CD compartments.
Switch off the amplifier and, if a mixer is connected, switch it off as well. Switch off the dual CD player with the
on/off switch only afterwards. If one of the CD compartments is not closed properly, switch the dual CD play-
er back on again and close the CD compartment with the OPEN/CLOSE button.
Do not try to close an open CD compartment manually with the appliance switched off
since this would damage the CD player.

sive cleaning agents or chemical solutions under any circumstances, since they could damage the housing
or impair operation.
