Safety instructions
1.1
General
•
Read the user manual completely and carefully before use.
The user manual is part of the product and contains important information for
correct use.
•
Keep this user manual.
The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.
The installation of this product does not replace proper installation, use and mainte-
nance of fuel gas-operated equipment and its associated ventilation and exhaust
systems.
The device does not prevent chronic effects of gas exposure and can not fully pro-
tect against specific health risks.
The sensors are not interchangeable.
Gas installations and their shutdown devices must comply with the relevant national
regulations in accordance with EN 1775.
Most types of gas are mixed with odorous substances and thus already smellable
before the alarm is triggered.
•
Contact your dealer or the manufacturer for questions, defects, mechanical
damage, malfunctions, and other issues not covered by the accompanying
documentation.
•
Avoid stress such as heat and cold, wet and direct sunlight, vibration and me-
chanical pressure.
Risk of electric shock
•
Do not open the housing.
The product has no exchangeable or serviceable parts.
•
Do not modify product and accessories.
Changes can cause malfunction or total failure.
•
Installation, assembly, maintenance and repair work must be carried out only by
trained electrical/gas specialists.
•
Disconnect the mains plug before working on the product.
•
Switch off the fuse before working on the product, especially if the mains plug is
difficult to reach or the product is otherwise connected to the mains.
•
In the latter case, secure the fuse against being switched on again.
Notes for network separation
The product has no power switch and may be used only in easily accessible outlets
to quickly remove it in an emergency and after use.
The product is voltage-free only with pulled mains plug.
•
In case of emergency, during thunderstorms and after use, pull the product on
its plug housing!
Explosion hazard at gas outlet
•
Do not operate an open fire.
•
Do not switch on or refrain from using electrical appliances, including telephones
and doorbells.
If gas is suspected and ventilation is not immediately available, respiratory protec-
tive equipment must be used, which is independent of the ambient atmosphere.
