Selecting the desired wind indication mode
To select the desired wind indication mode, proceed as follows:
• Press "MODE" (5) and keep it pressed for about 3 seconds.
• Now select the desired unit of wind velocity by pressing the key "SET" (11).
The following wind indication modes are available:
- Cu (= Current, indicating the current wind velocity)
- Max. (= Maximum, indicating the maximum wind velocity)
- AVG (= Average, indicating the average wind velocity).
• Press the "MODE" key (5) to save the settings.
Selecting the desired temperature unit °C or °F
• Press "MODE" (5) and keep it pressed for about 3 seconds.
• Now select the desired temperature unit by pressing the key "SET" (11).
• Press the "MODE" key (5) to save the settings.
Windchill indication
When the "windmill" is rotating, wind velocity and temperature will be shown on the display.
When the temperature drops below 0°C, the windchill symbol will be shown on the display.
Explanation Windchill
The windchill feature is supposed to convey an impression of the felt cold that arises from the
combination of actual air temperature and wind velocity on human skin.
Activate/Deactivate background illumination
Background illumination can be activated by pressing any of the keys.
If there is no key pressed for 12 seconds, the background illumination is switched off automati-
cally.
Battery Replacement
To ensure an optimal indication accuracy, we recommend to
replace the battery of the anomemeter at least once a year.
When changing the battery, proceed as follows:
• Open the battery compartment in the backside using a screwdriver.
• Remove the used batteries.
• Insert a new 3Vbutton cell of the type CR2032 while regarding the correct polarity (the positive
pole must head upwards).
• Close the battery compartment.
• Switch on the anenometer by pressing the key "MODE" (5) and keeping it pressed for about 1
second.
Maintenance and Cleaning
The product is maintenance-free.
To clean the outside of the devices, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient.
Disposal
a) In general
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As a consumer you are required (Battery Regulation) to responsibly dispose of all used batter-
ies and rechargeable batteries; it is forbidden to throw them away with the normal house-
hold waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with these symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the
heavy metals involved are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to col-
lection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable
batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
