Anemometer
Order No. 64 64 45
Intended Use
This handy anemometer provides important information about storm force, windchill and tem-
perature.
Power supply is ensured via a 3V/DC battery (type: CR2032).
The product must not get damp or wet.
Operating the product in any other way than described above is not permitted and may lead to
damaging to the product, which can give rise to risks such as short circuit, fire and electric shock.
The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the safety instructions included
in these operating instructions. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for lat-
er reference.
The safety instructions in these operating instructions are to be observed!
Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of elec-
tric shock.
This symbol, with an exclamation mark in a triangle, indicates particular dangers
associated with handling, function or operation.
The "hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The
warranty will be void in such cases.
• For safety and licensing (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or
modifications to the product are not permitted.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children.
Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
• Please contact a qualified person if you are unsure about the safety and
correct use of the system components.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of
children!
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous
toys for children.
• After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires approx. 15 min-
utes to stabilise, in order to adjust to the surrounding temperature, before
it can be used.
For this reason, wait until the product has reached room temperature,
before you use it.
• The product must not get damp or wet.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or acci-
dental drops, even from a low height.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical service or another specialist.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.

• Batteries should be kept out of children's reach.
• Please observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.

• Do not leave batteries lying around. Pets or small children might swallow them. If swallowed,

consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited, dissembled or thrown into fire. There is a
risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable bat-
teries which are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If not used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted battery. If batter-
ies are too old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to the cancella-
tion of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read
the chapter "Disposal".

Product Description

Start-up
• If it is the first commissioning remove the battery safety isolation (plastic strap) by pulling it out
of the battery compartment at the backside.
• Press "MODE" (5) and keep it pressed for about 1 second.
• Wind velocity, temperature and the battery state indication icon will be shown on the display.
Choosing the unit for wind velocity
To select the unit of the wind velocity, proceed as follows:
• Press "MODE" (5) and keep it pressed for about 3 seconds.
• Now select the desired unit of wind velocity by pressing the key "SET" (11).
• Press the "MODE" key (5) to save the settings.

You can choose between Cu (=Current, indi-
cating the current wind speed) Max. (=
Maximum, indicating the maximum wind
speed) or AVG (= Average, indicating the
average wind speed).

- m/s (= metres per second),
- ft/min (= feet per minute; 1 ft = 30,48 cm) ,
- km/h (= kilometres per hour), ft/min, knots, mph
- knots (= knots = 1 knot = 1 sea mile/h = 1,852 km/h = 0,51444 m/s
- mph (= miles per hour; 1 mile = 1,609344 kilometres)
