2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The tool can be easily carried using either the handle or shoulder strap (T) attached to
the rings (R).
2.1) Setting
The head can be equipped in three different configurations (refer to Fig. 2 page 23):
configuration 1: shaped moving blade + shaped fixed blade marked "A"
configuration 2: moving blade + fixed blade marked "B"
configuration 3: moving blade marked "B"+ blind plate marked "C"
Configurations 1 and 2 (double blade) are suitable for splitting nuts (see Fig. 4) or fastening
bushes (see Fig. 5) in one cutting operation; configuration 3 (single blade) is suitable for
splitting nuts or fastening bushes, when space around the nut or bush is limited and the
fixed blade is removed (see Fig. 6), this method requires two operations.
2.2) Positioning
Position the head on the bush or nut as illustrated in Fig. 3:
ensure that the blade only cuts on the bush or on the face of the nut and not on
the washer.
- Incorrect positioning can cause blades and head damage (refer to Fig. 3
page 23).
- Never use the head for slackening or tightening nuts.
2.3) Splitting
2.3.1) Head equipped with two blades
Press operating button (06) to activate the motor-pump group for the advancement of the
blade and split the nut (see Fig. 4) or fastening bush (see Fig. 5).
2.3.2) Head equipped with one blade
– Press operating button (06) to activate the motor-pump group for the advancement of
the blade and split one side of the nut.
– To halt the blade advancement when the split in the nut is visible (see Fig. 6a) and retract
the blade (see § 2.4).
