Wire rope fixing

With wrong rope coiling the brake is not
effective.
Rope coiling has to be
effected according to
the drawing (direction
by choice).

Insert the rope in consid-
eration of rope winding di-
rection.

Tighten clamping screws
For rope selection pay attention to the technical
data for the rope (see technical data)
Calculate the rope length in such a way that at
least 3 full turns of rope remain on the drum in
lowest load position.

Vario-Crank (special design)
The variable crank is available as special design for all
wall mounted winches >ALPHA<.
The length of the variable crank arm is adjustable.
This enables to adept the length of the crank arm
to the load.

The crank arm with handle ‚ may be detached from
the winch.
Detaching the crank arm:
loosen the adjusting screw •

Pull the crank arm via the safety ball ƒ out of the
ð
guiding (expenditure of force is required)
ð
store the crank arm
ð
pay attention to freedom of motion
ð
slightly tighten the adjusting screw
Fixing the crank arm:
loosen the adjusting screw •
ð
ð
put the crank arm into the guiding, strongly push
over safety ball ƒ
ð
push the crank arm into the required position
re-tighten adjusting screw •
ð
ð
pay attention to freedom of motion
When pulling or pushing the crank arm make sure
that there is enough free space. Pulling or pushing
with force may cause accidents.
