CAUTION! Again check that the circular saw blade rotates freely
and check that the saw blade is aligned parallel to the machine
plate. The lateral parallel distance from the circular saw blade to
the outer edge of the machine blade should be approx. 103 mm
(Figure 4.J), so that the saw blade is in line with the marking on
the machine plate.
4.3 Circular hand saws with narrow base plate (distance from
centre of saw blade to outer edge of base plate is less than
128 mm): Now attach the six side stops in such a way that all
side stops are in full contact with the machine base plate. The
two rear stops in longitudinal direction act as stops for the
circular hand saw in sawing direction to guarantee a firm hold
of the circular hand saw when sawing (Fig. 4.K).
Note: Do not overtighten the 6 nuts of the side stops, as this
could result in slight warping of the machine plate..
Subsequently mount the four clamping claws at the long side
of your circular hand saw as shown (Fig. 4.L).
4.4 4.4 Circular hand saws with wide base plate (distance
from the centre of the saw blade to the outer edge of the
base plate more than 128 mm): Align the circular hand saw on
the machine plate as described above. Mount the stops with the
clamping claws as shown in "Detail Z". Subsequently mount the
two side stops as shown in "Detail X and Y". The two long side
stops simultaneously act as stops for the circular hand saw
(Fig. 4.M).
CAUTION! Again check that the circular saw blade rotates freely
and check that the saw blade is aligned parallel to the machine
plate. If necessary, re-align the circular hand saw.
4.5 Inserting the machine plate: Raise the gap insert slightly at
the recess as illustrated to unlock it. Then pull the gap insert in
the direction of the arrow. Now remove the gap insert (Fig. 4.N).
Place the machine plate in the centre of the cutout of the
worktop (Fig. 4.O). Mount the 4 screws as shown. The machine
plate is aligned in the centre of the worktop in the process
(Fig. 4.P). Now insert the split insert again (Fig. 4.Q).
4.6 Adjusting the machine plate: If needed, the height of the
machine plate can be fine-tuned until it is flush with the worktop.
To do so, the height of the four sunken hexagon socket screws
can be adjusted. Furthermore, the two additional adjusting
screws underneath the worktop can be adjusted. Release the lock
nuts and align the height of the machine plate using the two
adjusting screws, until it is flush with the worktop. Then tighten
the lock nuts again. Before starting work, always check that the
lock nuts are securely fastened (Figures 4.R and 4.S).
5. STATIONARY SAWING WITH THE CIRCULAR
HAND SAW (FUNCTION: CIRCULAR BENCH SAW) -
90° CUTS
CAUTION! Always work with the protective cover and switch
on dust extraction at the protective cover.
CAUTION! Always make sure that your hands are kept at
a sufficient distance from the rotating saw blade (danger of
injury). Always use the push stick for narrow workpieces.
CAUTION! Always connect the circular hand saw to the safety
switch (see section 3).

5.1 Sawing with the parallel guide: Mount the short aluminium
stop to the long aluminium stop. To do so, unfasten the two
hexagon socket screws, push the short aluminium stop onto the
two square nuts and subsequently tighten the screws
(Fig. 5.A and 5.B). With the eccentric levers open, align the
parallel guide for the desired cutting width. To ensure parallel
alignment of the parallel guide, pay attention to the markings on
the profiles of the table. Then close the two eccentric levers.
CAUTION! The short aluminium stop may not be pushed in
beyond the end of the saw blade, to prevent workpiece kickback
during cutting (Fig. 5.B).
Connect the end of the dust extraction hose with the receptacle
at the protective cover. Now fasten the dust extraction hose with
the hook and loop tape at the protective cover holder. Attach the
switch clamp to the switch of the circular hand saw. Subsequently
plug in the device and mains plugs at the safety switch (Fig. 5.C).
Use the safety switch to switch on the circular hand saw.
Push the workpiece towards the circular saw blade in the
direction of the arrow until the blade cuts all the way through the
workpiece. After sawing, switch off the circular hand saw using
the safety switch (Fig. 5.D). Always use the push stick included
in the scope of delivery for narrow workpieces (Fig. 5.E). Pay
attention to the specified max. workpiece widths (Fig. 5.F). The
parallel guide can also be mounted on the left of the circular saw
blade if necessary. To do so, the screw guide has to be offset by
one row of holes and subsequently the short aluminium stop has
to be mounted again (Fig. 5.G).
CAUTION! The short aluminium stop may not be pushed in
beyond the end of the saw blade, to prevent workpiece kickback
during cutting.
5.2 Sawing with the angle stop: Push the angle stop into the
guide slot (Fig. 5.H). Make sure that the black end of the stop
runs under the protective cover, to ensure that the cover is lifted
up correctly (Fig. 5.I). Now retract the angle stop and rest the
workpiece against the angle stop. Switch on the circular hand
saw at the safety switch. Push the workpiece at the angle stop
towards the circular saw in the direction of the arrow as
illustrated (Fig. 5.J) until the blade cuts all the way through the
workpiece. Then switch off the circular hand saw using the safety
switch. The angle stop makes it possible to saw workpieces at
angles from 0° to ± 60°. Loosen the handle screw, set the
required angle and firmly tighten the handle screw again
(Fig. 5.K).
6. STATIONARY SAWING WITH THE CIRCULAR
HAND SAW (FUNCTION: CIRCULAR BENCH SAW) -
VERTICAL MITRE CUTS
CAUTION! Installation and removal of the machine plate and
riving knife are described once, in section 4. The installation
instructions apply for all devices to be mounted.
Vertical mitre cuts: The circular hand saw must be realigned for
vertical mitre cuts. Retract the protective pendulum cover on your
circular hand saw, set the saw to the maximum cutting depth and
position the machine centrally over the saw gap of the gap insert.
Set the desired angle. Subsequently, make sure that the saw
blade can rotate freely in the gap insert and that the saw blade is
aligned parallel to the machine plate. If necessary, re-align the
circular hand saw (Figures 6.A - 6.C). Mount the four side stops
and the two stops in the sawing direction. Then mount and
fasten the four clamping claws as shown (Fig. 6.D).
