CAUTION! Again check that the circular saw blade rotates freely
and check that the saw blade is aligned parallel to the machine
plate.
Aligning the circular saw blade to the riving knife: Release the
clamping sleeve of the locating bolt. Now slide the setting gauge
with the riving knife towards the circular saw blade. The setting
gauge has to be pushed in between two teeth of the circular saw
blade, as shown. Rotate the circular saw blade a little, if
necessary. This ensures that the distance between the circular
saw blade and riving knife is min. 3 mm to max. 8 mm. Tighten
the front knurled nut (Fig. 12.G). In the process, the circular
saw blade is aligned together with the riving knife.
Now mount the circular hand saw on the machine plate
as illustrated (Fig. 12.H).
Note: If the dimension from the centre of the saw blade to the
outer edge of the circular hand saw's base plate is wider than
128 mm, the two long side stops must be used during mounting.
Read and follow the instructions in this manual on mounting
wider base plates for circular hand saws (Fig. 4.4).
Installing the machine plate with mounted circular hand saw
and riving knife: Turn over the machine plate. Release the
clamping sleeve of the locating bolt and release the front knurled
nut of the setting gauge (Fig. 12.I). Then remove the riving knife
and the locating bolt (Fig. 12.J). Remove the gap insert
(Fig. 12.K). Insert the machine plate into the worktop and fasten
it with the four screws (Fig. 12.L). Insert the gap insert again
(Fig. 12.M). First mount the locating bolt and insert the riving
knife into the mounting slot of the locating bolt, until the setting
gauge is positioned correctly between two teeth of the
circular saw blade (Fig. 12.N). Tighten the front knurled nut and
subsequently tighten the locating bolt (Fig. 12.O). Remove
the setting gauge (Fig. 12.P).
CAUTION! Once again check that the circular saw blade is
aligned centrally in relation to the riving knife and that the
distance between the circular saw blade and riving knife is
min. 3 mm to ma.x 8 mm. If this is not the case, re-align the
circular hand saw and the riving knife.
CAUTION! Before starting work, always check that the riving
knife and all fastening parts are securely fastened.
Cutting depth adjustment: If the cutting depth of the circular
hand saw is changed, the height of the riving knife must also
be adjusted to guarantee the min. 3 mm to max. 8 mm safety
distance to the circular hand saw blade. Start by loosening the
riving knife using the Allen key. Now set the circular hand saw
to the required cutting depth. Tighten the cutting depth lock
again. Attach and position the setting gauge together with
the riving knife as described. After the adjustments are complete,
remove the setting gauge.
Vertical mitre cuts
For angular cuts with the riving knife mounted, loosen the
clamping sleeve of the locating bolt and pull out the riving knife
a little bit. Retighten the clamping sleeve and loosen the knurled
nut of the setting gauge (Fig. 12.Q). Turn over the machine plate
and insert it into the cutout in the worktop (Fig. 12.R). Set the
desired angle for the circular hand saw. Release the cutting depth
lock on the circular hand saw and retract the protective
pendulum cover. Place the circular hand saw on the gap insert,
making sure that it is centred on the cutout in the gap insert.
Set the circular hand saw to the maximum cutting depth and
tighten the cutting depth lock (Fig. 12.S).
t
CAUTION! Again check that the circular saw blade rotates freely
and check that the saw blade is aligned parallel to the machine
plate.
Aligning the circular saw blade to the riving knife: Release the
clamping sleeve of the locating bolt. Then turn the riving knife
until it is parallel to the pre-aligned circular saw blade. Now slide
the setting gauge with the riving knife towards the circular saw
blade. The setting gauge has to be pushed in between two teeth
of the circular saw blade, as shown. Rotate the circular saw blade
a little, if necessary. This ensures that the distance between the
circular saw blade and riving knife is min. 3 mm to max. 8 mm.
Tighten the front knurled nut (Fig. 12.T). In the process, the
circular saw blade is aligned together with the riving knife.
Now mount the circular hand saw on the machine plate
as illustrated (Fig. 12.U).
Installing the machine plate with mounted circular hand saw
and riving knife: Turn over the machine plate. Release the
clamping sleeve of the locating bolt and release the front knurled
nut of the setting gauge (Fig. 12.U). Then remove the riving knife
and the locating bolt (Fig. 12.W). Remove the gap insert
(Fig. 12.X). Insert the machine plate into the worktop and fasten
it with the four screws (Fig. 12.Y). Insert the gap insert again
(Fig. 12.Z). First mount the locating bolt and insert the riving knife
into the mounting slot of the locating bolt, until the setting
gauge is positioned correctly between two teeth of the circular
saw blade (Fig. 12.a). Tighten the front knurled nut and
subsequently tighten the locating bolt (Fig. 12.b). Remove
the setting gauge (Fig. 12.c).
CAUTION! Once again check that the circular saw blade is
aligned centrally in relation to the riving knife and that the
distance between the circular saw blade and riving knife is
min. 3 mm to ma.x 8 mm. If this is not the case, re-align the
circular hand saw and the riving knife.
CAUTION! Überprüfen Sie vor jedem Arbeiten, dass der Spaltkeil
und alle Befestigungsteile fest angezogen sind.
CAUTION! Always pay attention to the specified dimensions of
the base plate of your circular hand saw for angular cuts. If the
base plate protrudes beyond the side of the machine plate when
it is mounted for angular cuts, it is not permitted to use the circu-
lar hand saw for angular cuts.
Note: Observe the other information on stationary saw operation
in section 5 and 6.
