HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

1.
Undo the clamping screw (8) and turn the
height adjusting knob (9) to the required
height on the scale (10).
2.
The height should correspond to half the
thickness of the workpiece.
3.
The jointing biscuit should always be
placed in the middle of the workpiece.

FITTING THE BLADE

NOTE:
Unplug the power cord, switch off the
tool, and wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before making any
adjustments, maintenance and/or replacing
accessories.
1.
Undo the screws and open the base plate.
2.
Keep the spindle lock button pressed in
and turn the spindle until it locks.
3.
Undo the flange nut from the spindle with
the spanner.
4.
Put the blade and flange on the spindle.
5.
Put the spindle nut on the spindle and
tighten with the spanner. Make sure to fit
the nut the right way round.
6.
Release the spindle lock button and turn
the spindle to check that it can rotate
freely.
7.
Fold down the base plate and tighten the
four screws.
8.
Check that the base plate is properly
folded down and secured before starting
the tool.
FITTING THE DUST BAG
Fasten the dust bag to the connection. Empty
the dust bag regularly.
STARTING / STOPPING
1.
Never press the spindle lock button when
the tool is running.
2.
Start the tool by pushing forward the
power switch.
3.
Switch off the tool by pressing the
power switch. The power switch returns
automatically to the off position.
4.
Never press the spindle lock button to stop
the motor.
MARKING THE WORKPIECE
1.
Mark the workpieces as follows before
starting the work.
Large workpieces
Place the tool beside the workpiece.
Place the marking on the middle of the base
plate at the centre of the slot marking on the
workpiece.
Small workpieces
Place the tool beside the workpiece.
Make sure that the side of the tool faces the
workpiece.
2.
Lock both workpieces together, one above
the other.
3.
Secure the workpieces and mark out the
centre of the slot.
4.
The slots should be placed at 10-15 cm
intervals. Small workpieces do not need
marking.
SLOT SAWING
1.
Pull back the motor unit.
2.
Place the tool beside the workpiece.
3.
Hold the tool firmly with both hands and
start the tool.
4.
Slowly press the motor unit forward as for
as possible.
