Oil burner pump
The oil burner pump used here is a
self-priming geared unit.
The pump is fitted with a suction
filter and oil pressure regulator.
Fit pressure gauges for measuring
pressure 4 and negative pressure 5
before starting up the unit.

Burner assembly
The burner flange 3 is fitted with
elongated slots and can be used for a
hole circle Ø of 150 - 170mm. These
dimensions correspond to EN 226. The
burner flange gasket and fixing bolts are
supplied with the burner.
Moving the tube holder 2 on the burner
tube enables the insertion depth of the
burner head to be adapted to the
geometry of the corresponding
combustion chamber. The insertion
depth remains unaltered when the unit
is being fitted or dismantled.
The tube holder 2 secures the burner to
the connecting flange and thus to the
Oil supply connection
The oil hoses supplied with the unit are
connected to the oil burner pump.
The oil hose threaded angle pieces
must be kept parallel when tightening
the union nuts. The oil supply
connection is via a ventilation filter,
which should be located in such a way
as to permit correct installation of the
hoses.
Do not allow hoses to become kinked or
trapped.
Use DN 4 Cu tubing (4x6) for the oil
supply.

Electrical connection
Electrical installation work and
connection to the power supply must be
carried out by authorized service
technicians only, observing current
legislation and regulations.
· Check to ensure that the mains
voltage corresponds to the specified
operating voltage of 230V at 50Hz.
· Burner fuse rating: 10A.
Burner and heat generator are linked
via a seven-pin plug connection 1.

boiler, providing a tight seal for the
combustion chamber.
Fitting:
· Attach connecting flange 3 to boiler
with bolts 4.
· Fit tube holder 2 to burner blast tube
and secure with bolt 1.
· Twist burner slightly and insert into
flange. Secure with bolt 5.
Removal:
· Loosen bolt 5.
· Twist burner loose and withdraw
from flange.
For maximum and minimum suction
tube lengths and suction heights, refer
to specifications on planning and
dimensioning of plant equipment with
suction unit. These specifications form
part of the ELCO Klöckner layout
guidelines.
The suction tube is fitted up to 5cm
above the bottom of cubic tanks and up
to10cm above the bottom of cylindrical
tanks.
Pre-startup check
Check the following items on the unit:
Heating circuit water pressure
–
Operation of circulating pumps
–
Functioning of draught stabilizer in
–
chimney
Constant power supply (230V) to
–
boiler control panel
Tank oil level
–
Oil hose connections (inflow /return,
–
tightness)
Open oil valves
–
Burner head adjustment settings
–
Ignition electrode adjustment
–
Thermostat adjustment
–
Switch on burner for starting up the
unit.
Shine an artificial light on the flame
monitoring unit and purge the oil line
and pump of air. Open the vent screw
on the ventilation filter just enough to
ensure that negative pressure does not
exceed 400mbar. Switch off the burner
and wait until the oil flows free of
bubbles and completely fills the oil filter.
Tighten vent screw.
