Assembly instructions
1. Cut out the Parts List and the page showing the laser-cut part numbers from the
instructions, so that you always have direct access to this information during the building
process. This will make construction easier, and help you to understand the instructions.
2. Sand a 30° chamfer in the mating edges of the el evator (1), the tailplane (2), the wing (3),
the ailerons (4), the top fuselage section (5), the bottom fuselage section (6) and the
rudder (7) so that the specified control surface travels can be obtained later. All the
parts should be chamfered as shown in the pictures. When chamfering the control
surfaces remember that the 30° angle should be on t he underside.
3. Cut the wing reinforcements (8) to a length of 880 mm, and glue them to the wing using
UHU-por.
4. Glue the front fuselage crutch (9) and the rear fuselage crutch (10) to the wing (3) using
UHU-por, then glue the tailplane (2) to the rear fuselage crutch.
5. The next step is to glue the bottom fuselage section to parts (2), (3), (5) and (6) using
TURBO KLEBER. Cover the workbench with clear plastic film before joining the
parts, to avoid them sticking to the bench. Note that the components must first be laid
down flat. Use TURBO KLEBER (this is a foaming adhesive which hardens in about
three minutes) to stick the bottom fuselage section in place, keeping it at right-angles to
the wing. Glue the plastic brace support (11) in the appropriate notch in the underside of
the fuselage using UHU-por or TURBO KLEBER.
6. The various braces for the fuselage and wing (12 - 18) can now be cut to the lengths
stated in the Parts List, and glued to the fuselage and wing components using TURBO
KLEBER; work from the front towards the back, and keep to the numerical sequence.
Glue the braces to the brace support using cyano. When cutting the carbon fibre rods
to length it is best to lay two 1 mm strips side by side and cut both to length at the
same time (right and left).
7. Cut two pieces 30 mm long from the remainder of the wing reinforcement (8), and use
UHU-por to glue these to the bottom fuselage section on both sides, flush with the
undercarriage slot.
8. Cut the two undercarriage legs (19) to a length of 210 mm. Push the wheel axle supports
(20) on the bottom end of both legs and secure them with cyano. Sand the bottom of the
legs back flush with the underside of the supports as shown.
9. The undercarriage legs can now be glued to the fuselage using TURBO KLEBER, and
the undercarriage fairings (21) added using UHU-por.
10. Glue the horn extensions (23) to a double-ended control surface horn (22) using cyano.
11. Glue one double-ended control surface horn (22) and three hinges (24) in the elevator,
and fit the spigot (25). Apply a little UHU-por to the spigot and push it into the tailplane.
Apply a little UHU-por to the hinge line slot over a length of about 2 cm, and spread it out
with your finger to form a 'UHU-por hinge'; this prevents the elevator slipping out of
position.
12. Glue the top fuselage section (5) in place using UHU-por or TURBO KLEBER. Take care
to install it at right-angles.
13. The optional fin braces can now be attached; the length of the braces is 142 mm. They
are not absolutely essential, and are not included in the kit.
14. Attach the ailerons (4) to the wings, and the rudder (7) to the fin, using the same
procedure.
15. The tailwheel unit (26) is not strictly necessary, as the fuselage features an integral
tailskid. However, if you wish to fit it, use the procedure shown in the following
photographs.
