Always check the bike carrier rack ball coupling for dirt, oil or damage as these can effect friction and
stability.
2.9: extra emergency exit:
EXTRA EMERGENCY EXIT: THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE SIDE OF THE CAMPER MUST BE ABLE TO
BE USED AS AN EMERGENCY EXIT.
3. HOW TO OPEN THE VAN 'N BIKE BIKE CARRIER RACK:
Loosen the bar-guide stay lever on the left-hand side of the bike carrier rack. You can fit this lever with
the thread in the opening on the top of the middle horizontal tube so it cannot swing and damage
paintwork when manoeuvring the bike carrier rack.
The Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack, called the Van 'n Bike below, turns open to the right.

To open the
bike carrier rack: pull the lock pin located to the left of the middle horizontal
tube to the left and pull the bike carrier rack open.
Van 'n Bike
Always open the
bike carrier rack with assistance (hold the frame tight until it is fully open)
to prevent damage should the frame open too quickly because of instability of the vehicle or for any
other reason.
Never open the rear doors of the vehicle further than 90 degrees to prevent damage to the bodywork.
This is also mentioned on the sticker the on the inside of the rear doors.
4. HOW TO CLOSE THE VAN 'N BIKE BIKE CARRIER RACK:
Van 'n Bike
To close the
bike carrier rack, grasp the frame and close it until you hear the lock pin
'click'.
WHEN YOU START THE VEHICLE MOVING, THE VAN 'N BIKE MUST BE CLOSED WITH THE TURNING
LEVER THAT MUST BE SUFFICIENTLY TIGHTENED FINGER-TIGHT.
A padlock (ABUS 41/50HB 125) can optionally be fitted in the opening provided on the closing part.
5. FITTING AND REMOVING A BIKE CARRIER ON THE Van 'n Bike BIKE CARRIER RACK:
Without bike carrier the plug of the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack must be inserted in the female plug
so the lights on the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack work normally.
When installing a bike carrier rack on the Van 'n Bike bike carrier rack, the plug for the Van 'n Bike
lights must be removed from the female plug and must be replaced by the plug of the bike carrier so
the lights of the bike carrier work normally. The plug for the Van 'n Bike lighting must be inserted in
the plug holder provided.
Take your bike carrier and bring it over the ball coupling. Place the bike carrier as explained in the user
manual for the bike carrier.
WHEN THE BIKE CARRIER IS ASSEMBLED ON THE VAN 'N BIKE, FIT THE SUPPLIED VAN 'N BIKE
FRAME HOLDER AS DESCRIBED IN THE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS WHICH YOU CAN FIND ON THE
WEBSITE https://www.vannbike.com/docs/. HERE IT IS IMPORTANT TO CORRECTLY FIT THE NOR-
LOCK SUPPLIED TO PREVENT THE STAR KNOB FROM VIBRATING LOOSE.
To remove the bike carrier proceed in reverse order.
