4 Calibration
4 .1 Introduction
The following calibrations must be carried out
before using the instrument:
• Calibration of wind direction (always)
• Calibration of ship's speed (optional)
These calibrations only have to be carried out
once.
4 .2 Calibrating wind direction
Calibrate the wind direction when it is wind
still.
Sail in a straight line.
The (apparent) wind direction is now from
straight ahead.
Switch on the instrument (see Section 3.1).
Press the SET button
