7.6 Hydraulic connections
Check the presence of magnesium anodes during
installation.
To reduce noise and vibration effects that may be
transmitted through walls, use flexible joints for hydraulic
connections
• The typical system connection diagrams included are purely indicative

installation site, the best possible system diagram, in compliance with

the limits imposed by the data declared by the manufacturer.
• The installation of boilers in domestic water systems must be carried
out using a water safety unit that must include at least one shut-off
valve, a check valve, a control device for the check valve, a safety
valve and an hydraulic load breaking device. All these accessories are
necessary in order to ensure the boiler's safe operation.
• Provide for an expansion system. Such system can simply consist of
the supplied relief valve or of another valve of counterweight or spring
type, whose orifice has a minimum diameter (in millimetres) of:
155
with V being the boiler's volume in litres. The valve must be calibrated to
a pressure value that does not exceed the boiler's maximum operating
pressure, and must be connected without using any shut-off devices.
Furthermore, in order to prevent the valve from continuously opening
and the boiler from being unnecessarily overloaded, install a closed type
expansion tank with a non-toxic membrane.

• If domestic hot water system exceeds the max. permitted boiler
285
pressure values, install a pressure reducer as far as possible from
boiler.
In general, for domestic hot water production systems, it is necessary
to comply with the standards, which require various types of water
treatments based on the characteristics of the water itself. The warranty
does not cover any damage arising from the failure to comply with such
standards.
• You are also reminded that the equipment must always be electrically
connected to the ground.
• The progressive wear of the magnesium anode may vary according to
the operating conditions and the type of water.
7.7 Condensate drain fitting
passes inside the insulating covering and flows out from the machine's
lower part. For the condensate to flow regularly, it must be connected to
a duct. For the connection with the duct, use the fitting located in the
lower part of the product. This discharge duct must also be connected to
the discharge of safety devices.
