Removing the Chassis from the Rack
1. Pull the chassis forward out the front of the rack until it stops.
2. Press the release latches on each of the inner rails downward simultaneously and continue to pull
the chassis forward and out of the rack.
CAUTION:
The system is heavy. It is dangerous for a single person to remove it from the
rack. Have sufficient personnel or use a lift to support the chassis.
Removing the Top Cover
Remove Screw
1. Remove the two screws on each side of the cover, which secure the cover to the chassis. These two
screws are optional and will not impact functionality if they are not installed.
2. Press the two release buttons and slide the cover toward the rear and lift off.
CAUTION: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover
in place. The chassis cover must be in place to allow for proper airflow and to prevent
overheating.
