USE
EN 361: These harnesses are mainly used for fall
arrest purposes, i.e., they support the
entire body of the wearer and, in the
event of a fall and after arresting a fall,
hold him/her in an upright position.
CAUTION! Use is permitted only in com-
ination with waist belt & shoulder straps.
EN 358: This harness belays its wearer at the work
site (work positioning) or prevents the
wearer from reaching a location from
where he/she can fall down (restraint
function).
A work positioning harness to EN 358
by itself is not suitable for fall arrest
purposes!
In order to provide protection against falls
from a height, it may be necessary to use
configurations including collective
equipment (e.g., safety nets) or personal
protective equipment (e.g., fall protection
systems to EN 363)!
EN 813: This harness holds the body of the user,
who must be conscious, in a sitting posi-
tion.
A sit harness to EN 813 alone is not
suitable for fall protection purposes!
Rather, for protection against falls from a
height, it may also be necessary to use
configurations including collective equip-
ment such as safety nets, or personal
protective equipment such as fall protec-
tion systems to EN 363!
Prior to first use, users should perform a
hanging test in a safe location to verify
that the sit harness has the right size and
offers sufficient adjustment options and a
reasonable level of comfort for the
intended use
