10 seconds and then goes out When you
press a button on the device, the display
reappears for 10 seconds
The transmitter must be set to the same
channel as the receiver (channel setting
 chapter 7 1)
5) When the transmitter and receiver are set
to the same channel, the radio reception is
indicated on the receiver: on the 1-channel
receiver, the red LED
2-channel receiver, the LED RF /AF (4) lights
red
If no radio reception is indicated, please check
a) if the transmitter batteries are still suffi-
ciently charged
b) if the distance between the transmitter
and the receiver is too large
c) if the reception is disturbed by objects in
the transmission path
The transmitter and the receiver should
have a minimum distance of 50 cm from
any metal objects and possible sources of
interference, e g electric motors or fluo-
rescent tubes
d) if the reception can be improved by mov-
ing the receiving antennas (6)
6) Speak or sing into the microphone of the
transmitter Audio transmission is indicated
on the receiver: When an audio signal is
received, the green LED
1-channel receiver; on the 2-channel receiver,
the LED RF /AF (4) changes to green
Adjust the volume to match the output level
of the receiver to the device connected:
On the 1-channel receiver, use the control
VOL (5) to adjust the volume
On the 2-channel receiver, the mixed signal
from the signals of both receiver units is
present at the output, i e setting the vol-
ume for one receiver unit also determines the
volume at which it can be heard in relation
to the other unit Use the buttons VOL (5)
to adjust the volume: If one of the buttons
is pressed, the display briefly shows the cur-
rent volume level To increase or reduce the

To switch off the devices after operation:
– on the receiver, press the switch POWER
– on the transmitter, keep the button POWER /
MUTE pressed until the power LED (on the
hand-held microphone) or the LED of the
button (on the pocket transmitter) goes out

7.1 Setting the transmission channel

The receiver and the transmitter of a transmis-
sion path must be set to the same channel The
channel can be set on each device with the but-
ton CH [(3), (11) or (20)] For the hand-held
microphone, the sleeve (16) must be unscrewed
and screwed back on after the setting
1) Keep the button CH pressed until a dot
flashes on the display next to the channel
indication
2) As long as the dot is flashing, the channel can
be set Press the button CH repeatedly until
the desired channel is displayed
3) Approx 6 seconds after the setting has been
made, the dot flashes rapidly to indicate that
the change has been saved and then goes
out
Note: For a 2-channel system, select the channels
for the two transmission paths so that they will not
interfere with each other If other E-7... systems are
operated at the same site, the number of channels
that can be used simultaneously without interfering
with each other depends on the local conditions
(a maximum of 11 channels in ideal conditions)
