2) For power supply, connect the power supply
unit provided to the power supply jack DCV
INPUT (7) and to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz)
A strain relief is provided to prevent acciden-
tal disconnection of the plug Wrap the cable
around the strain relief hook (10) at the bot-
tom of the housing if required
Note: If the receiver is not used for a longer period
of time, disconnect the power supply unit from the
socket It will consume some power even when the
receiver has been switched off
5 Power Supply for the Transmitter(s)
For power supply, each transmitter requires two
1 5 V batteries of size AA
Only insert batteries of the same type and
always replace both batteries
If the transmitter is not used for a longer pe-
riod of time, always remove the batteries to
prevent damage due to battery leakage
Never put batteries in the household
waste Always dispose of the batteries
in accordance with local regulations
5.1 Wireless hand-held microphone
for E-7HHSET/ 5 and E-7HHSETD / 5
Unscrew the sleeve (16) on the lower end of the
microphone Insert the batteries into the battery
compartment (12) Make sure that the positive
and negative poles are in the correct position
(
imprint inside the compartment) Screw the
sleeve back on
5.2 Pocket transmitter
for E-7BPSET/ 5 and E-7BPSETD / 5
To open the battery compartment, slightly
press the marking of the battery compartment
cover (22) while pulling it down at the same
time Insert the batteries with the positive and
negative poles as printed in the compartment
Replace the cover and lock it
6 Connecting the Lavalier Microphone(s),
Attaching the Pocket Transmitter(s)
for E-7BPSET/ 5 and E-7BPSETD / 5
Each pocket transmitter comes with a lava-
lier microphone CM-501 with clip Attach the
microphone to the clip and connect it to the
microphone input (18) of the transmitter (To
disconnect, press the black release button on
the mini-XLR connector when pulling it out )
Attach the clip to your clothes (e g tie, lapel)
Hint: Instead of CM-501, you can also use another
microphone from the JTS range that is designed
for use with a pocket transmitter and has a 4-pole
mini-XLR connector, e g the headset microphone
CM-214U or the earband microphone CM-801F
Via the clip (21) on its back, the pocket trans-
mitter can be attached to your clothes (e g belt
or waistband)
7 Operation
1) Put the receiving antennas (6) in a vertical
position
2) Switch on the receiver with the switch
POWER (1)
Note: For a 2-channel system, the following oper-
ating steps refer to setting up the first transmission
path with the first receiver unit and the associated
transmitter To set up the second transmission path,
carry out the same operating steps with the second
receiver unit and the second transmitter
3) The display (2) shows the transmission chan-
nel Leave the corresponding transmitter
switched off for the time being If the re-
ception LED
or RF/AF (4) lights up while
the transmitter is switched off, interference
or signals from other wireless transmitters
are being received on this channel In this
case, set a different channel:
4) To switch on the transmitter, briefly press the
button POWER / MUTE [(15) or (17)] On the
hand-held microphone, the power LED (13)
lights up; on the pocket transmitter, the LED
of the button is the power LED (green = bat-
teries sufficiently charged, red = batteries al-
most discharged) The display [(14) or (19)]
shows the transmission channel for approx
