Configuration And Operation
Configuring For Art-Net™ Only
Art-Net™-only operation requires configuration of the network, the DMX personality, and the
DMX address.
To configure the Next™ NXT-1 for Art-Net™ only, do the following:
1. Set the operating protocol by doing the following:
a. Press <MENU>. A list of options shows on the display.
b. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Protocol Setup is highlighted.
c. Press <ENTER>. A window with options shows on the display.
d. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Only Art-Net is highlighted.
2. Set the IP mode and address by doing the following:
a. Press <MENU>. A list of options shows on the display.
b. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Art-Net Setup is highlighted.
c. Press <ENTER>. A list of options shows on the display.
d. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until IP Mode is highlighted.
e. Press <ENTER>. A window with options shows on the display.
f. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until desired IP mode is highlighted.
g. Press <ENTER>.
If Manual IP mode is selected, a window shows for IP address entry.
3. Set the Net address by doing the following:
a. Press <MENU>. A list of options shows on the display.
b. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Art-Net Setup is highlighted.
c. Press <ENTER>. A list of options shows on the display.
d. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Net shows on the display.
e. Press <ENTER>. A window with a number shows on the display
f. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until the desired net address shows.
g. Press <ENTER>.
4. Set the Subnet address by doing the following:
a. Press <MENU>. A list of options shows on the display.
b. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Art-Net Setup is highlighted.
c. Press <ENTER>. A list of options shows on the display.
d. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Subnet shows on the display.
e. Press <ENTER>. A window with a number shows on the display
f. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until the desired subnet address shows.
g. Press <ENTER>.
5. Set the Universe by doing the following:
a. Press <MENU>. A list of options shows on the display.
b. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Art-Net Setup is highlighted.
c. Press <ENTER>. A list of options shows on the display.
d. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until Universe shows on the display.
e. Press <ENTER>. A window with a number shows on the display
f. Use <UP> or <DOWN> until the desired universe shows.
g. Press <ENTER>.
