Removing the battery

1. Press the battery release buttons.
2. Remove the battery from the tool.

Changing the accessory tool
ATTENTION
Risk of damage to the collet if the clamping nut is tightened on an empty collet.
▶ Never tighten the clamping nut without an accessory tool inserted in the collet.
CAUTION
Risk of injury and damage if the accessory tool runs out of true or is damaged.
▶ Do not use damaged accessory tools. Before starting work, check that the die grinder runs smoothly,
with little vibration.
1. Hold the collet with the small wrench and use the large wrench to loosen the clamping nut.
2. Pull the accessory tool out of the collet.
3. Insert the shank of the accessory tool as far as it will go into the collet.
4. Exposed shaft length L
at least 20 mm into the collet.
5. Hold the collet with the small wrench and use the large wrench to tighten the clamping nut.
6. Check that the accessory tool is held securely.

6.1
Switching on
1. Press the rear section of the on/off switch.
2. Slide the on/off switch forward.
▶ The motor runs.
3. Lock the on/off switch.

1. Switch the tool on. → page 9
2. By turning the adjusting knob for speed, set a speed that is suitable for the accessory tool and the
planned use.
3. Use only the intended working face of the accessory tool. Example: Never try to use the flat side of an
abrasive cut-off disc for grinding. Abrasive cut-off discs are intended for cutting at their peripheral edge.
4. Secure the workpiece. Never try work with a small workpiece held in one hand and the die grinder held
in the other. Always hold the die grinder with both hands on the grips provided.
5. Guide the die grinder to the workpiece. Apply moderate pressure and do not press the accessory tool
into the material.

Switching off

▶ Press the rear section of the on/off switch.
▶ The on/off switch jumps into the off position and the motor stops.
