Alginate Mixer MX-300
7.2 MX-300 accelerates the working time, initial setting time and setting time stated in the manufacture
instructions of the alginate; use cold water to limit the phenomenon.
7.3 Manufacturer timer settings can be altered for desired mixing times. Set the timer with the up and down
arrows to the desired time. Then press and hold both the "UP" and "DOWN" arrow keys simultaneously for
2 seconds until an audible beep occurs. The mixing time display panel will flash twice. Up to 3 different
memory presets can be made.
7.4 The following are general guidelines for not Zhermack brand alginates mixing times with water between
10 °C - 20 °C

8. Maintenance

8.1 Make sure to disinfect, and if possible sterilize (non-autoclavable material, cold sterilize only), all accessories
used together with the alginate before and after use. Follow warnings concerning material compatibility,
maintenance and refurbishment provided by the accessory manufacturer. Follow the chosen disinfectant
manufacturer's instructions for contact time. Please refer to the instructions for use for each specific disin-
fectant you wish to use to check compatibility and effectiveness.
8.2 Mixing bowl: After setting, the remaining impression material inside the bowl can be easily remove with a
spatula and gently cleane with water or with non-alcohol based products. The small hole at the center of
the cap should be cleaned as well (Fig. 13).
8.3 If there is any residue or debris on the mixer, use a dry cloth to wipe down the unit. DO NOT use a solvent
or volatile oil to clean the unit as this could cause surface discoloring.
