Operating instructions
5.1. Checking the dispenser
The proper condition of the dispenser and the strap cutter must be checked before
each new use. This especially applies to the stability of the dispenser during the
operation of the hand wheel (item 110). In that situation, you must pay attention to firm
mounting and an undamaged blade of the cut-off knife (item 44). Further, the fixed
handles (item 56) must not be movable on the upper part of the cutter.
5.2. Handling
Insert the coil edgewise into the interspace of the dispenser (Pos. 510) in the following
order (see figure):
1. Pull the spring cotter pin
(Pos. 221)
2. Remove axle (Pos. 228)
with cover disc (Pos. 7),
ball bearing (Pos. 8) and
discs (Pos. 4).
3. Insert coil
4. Re-assembly is done
in reverse order.
Notice:
After the correct insertion of the coil into the dispenser (item 510), the steel strap will be
inserted between wheel (item 100) and needle bearing (item 77). With turning the
handwheel (item 110) clockwise, the steel strap will be pushed forward. When the
desired length is achieved, the steel strap can be cut-off by means of the strap cutter
(item 550). Through the operation of the upper part of the cutter (item 540), the strap
cutter (item 550), the cut-off knife (item 44) lowers and cuts the steel strap off.
BAZ-L
If the coil is inserted in the wrong direction, the steel strap will be bent
extremely and strap transport by means of the handwheel (item 110) is
difficult to perform.
