4.3 Design and functionality
The collecting tank made of polyethylene serves for pressureless collection of waste wa-
ter. The collecting tank is anchored by 4 fastening screws against buoyancy.
In the collecting tank, there are the hydraulic parts of the pumps, the pitot tube of the level
switch and the check valves (except in case of type 3.0). The control line is fastened to
a hose nozzle at the collecting tank and thus connects the pitot tube with the pressure
switch in the pump control.
The motors of the pumps are located outside the collecting tank and are equipped with
3.5 m long connecting cables.
On the pressure side of the pumps, there is one check valve each in the tank
(except in case of type 3.0). The pressure outlets are connected using the supplied Y-pipe
on pressure lines of nominal width DN 100.

If a manual membrane pump shall be connected to the draining line, it has to be ordered

Several nozzles (DN 50 and DN 100/150) are available on the collecting tank for the con-
nection of the inlet line(s). All nozzles for the inlet lines are closed and must be opened
the collecting tank due to natural gradient.
