Before fi rst use
ATTENTION!
❐ The foils and bags pose a suffocation hazard! Keep children and animals away from the pack-
aging.

Unpack all parts and make sure that the product contents are complete (see chapter
"Product contents and device overview") and check for any damages from transport. If you
identify damages to the components, do not use them (!), instead contact our customer
service centre.

Clean the product prior to using it for the fi rst time to remove any production residue as
described in the section "Cleaning and storage".

4. Now, set the desired grain size for the spices using the grinder adjusting screw. The more you
turn the screw to the right, the fi ner the setting will be. The more you turn the screw to the
left, the coarser the setting will be.
5. Push the On/Off button to spice meals. During the grinding process, the light is illuminated
so you can see how much salt or pepper is dispensed by the mill.
Inserting batteries
1. Remove the upper part of the housing to insert/change the batteries. Slightly turn it to the
right and pull it off to the top.
2. Now, you can insert four 1.5 V batteries in the battery compartments.
3. You can place the upper part of the housing back on the battery holder now. For this, turn it
to the left until it audibly locks into place.
1. Remove the upper part of the casing to be able to fi ll salt or pepper in
the mill. Slightly turn it to the right and pull it off to the top. Remove the
black battery holder from the bottom part of the casing. Now you can fi ll
salt or pepper in the bottom part of the casing.
2. Place the black battery holder back on the bottom part of the casing. In
the process, you must insert the grinder rod located in the bottom part
of the casing in the rotation receptacle on the bottom side of the battery
holder. The contacts, which are also located on the bottom side of the
battery holder must be placed on the contact receptacles.
3. Put the upper part of the casing back in place and turn it to the left until
it audibly locks into place.
