Designated Use

This device is used for
• Mixing of liquids
• Chopping fi rm foodstuffs
• Crushing ice.
Process hard foods like nuts or chocolate only with
fl uids.
It is intended for the use in private households and
similar applications.
It is only to be used as instructed in this user manual.
The appliance is not intended for commercial use.
Any other use shall be considered as not intended use
and can lead to material damage or even personal
injury.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damages
caused by not intended use.

Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the device from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging materials like foils, fi lling
materials, cable holders, and carton packaging.
3. Check the scope of deliveries for completeness.
NOTE:
There may still be dust or production remains on the
device. We recommend that you clean the device as
described under "Cleaning".

Installation

Mixing Vessel
Place the mixing vessel onto the motor housing. The
mixing vessel can be set in 4 positions.

Lid
1. Press the lid fi rmly onto the mixing vessel. It must
seal the mixing vessel completely.
2. Insert the cap into the refi ll opening of the lid.
Tighten the cap by turning it clockwise.
NOTE:
The refi ll opening cap can also be used as a meas-
uring cup.

Notes for Use

WARNING: Risk of injuries!
Always use the supplied tamper. Never insert your
fi ngers or tools into the fi ller opening!
CAUTION: Do not fi ll with liquids above 60 °C.
• Place the device on a fi rm and fl at surface. Position
it is such that it cannot tip over.
• Only switch on the appliance if the mixing vessel is
closed with the lid. The refi ll opening in the lid must
also be closed.
• Do not overfi ll the mixing vessel! You can fi ll it to a
maximum of 2 liters. Use the scale on the jug.
• Froth requires a large capacity. Reduce quantities of
liquids which produce a lot of froth.
• Keep one hand on the lid if you are crushing ice or if
there is a large quantity of ingredients.
• Cut the food to be mixed into small pieces before-
hand.
• A safety switch turns the motor off if you remove the
mixing vessel during operation. You can continue op-
eration only after setting the rotary control to "OFF".
• The electronic speed control prevents motor over-
load. The revolutions per minute are reduced auto-
matically within a stage in case of a high load.
Electric Connection
• Before inserting the power plug into the outlet, check
that the mains voltage to be used matches that of
the device. You can fi nd the required information on
the nameplate.
• Connect the device only to a correctly installed safe-
ty socket. The pulse operation button
Short-Interval Use
The appliance is suitable for short-interval use of
a maximum of 5 minutes. Allow it to cool for 5 - 10
minutes before using it again!
NOTE: The housing may get hot during operation.
