Never put your hands on the moving parts when the machine is switched on!
Never use your hands to clear or remove a jammed log!
- Electrically driven machines must use a portable residual current device (PRCD) if a residual
current device (RCD) with a maximum residual current of 0,03A is not provided in the electrical
system!
- The machine must be connected to a 230V socket with a 16 A fuse.
- Do not overload machine: use it only within the performance range it was designed for (see Table 1).
- Observe the permissible dimensions of logs to be cut (see Table 1)
- Never cut several workpieces at the same time, and no bundles containing several individual pieces.
Risk of personal injury if individual pieces are caught by the saw blade uncontrolled. Never cut log
containing the following: ropes; strings; cords; cables; wires...
- Use this machine outdoor only.
- Safety devices:
Each time before using or re-using the machine, carefully check that the safety devices and
protective guards or any slightly damaged parts are working as intended
Never dismantle the machine's safety devices or render them inoperative.
To rectify faults or remove jammed pieces of wood, always switch off the machine first. Pull
the power plug!
Refit all guards and safety devices immediately after you have completed any repairs or
maintenance work.
- Make sure you stand squarely and keep your balance at all times.
- Check that the moving parts are in good working order, that they do not jam, and that no parts are
damaged. Make sure that all parts are fitted correctly and that all other operating conditions are
properly fulfilled.
- Do not use circular saw blades made of high-alloy high-speed steel.
Hazard generated by modification of the machine or use of parts not tested and
approved by the equipment manufacturer!
Use only original parts or parts recommended or approved by the manufacturer.
This applies particularly to:
-
Saw blade (see specifications in Table1)
-
ON/OFF switch
-
Motor
Do not change any parts.
Please contact your local reseller or our STAV for any assistance regarding the
recommended parts.
Hazard generated by machine maintenance defects!
Keep machine and accessories in good repair. Observe the maintenance instructions.
Before any use check machine for possible damage: before operating the machine all
safety devices, protective guards or slightly damaged parts need to be checked for proper
function as specified. Checked to see that all moving parts work properly and do not jam.
All parts must be correctly installed and meet all conditions necessary for the proper
operation of the machine.
Damaged protection devices or parts must be repaired or replaced by a qualified
specialist. Have damaged switches replaced by a service center. Do not use this machine
if the switch cannot be turned ON or OFF.
Keep handles free of oil, grease and resin.
Hazard generated by dust
Pay attention to the factors that influence exposure to dust, this includes:
-
Type of material being machined
-
Importance of local extraction (capture at source)
-
Proper adjustment of hood / baffles / chutes
