GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MITER SAW
To avoid injury from accidental starting,
remove the plug from the power-source
outlet before making any adjustments.
1. Carrying Handle
T h i s h a n d l e i s b u i l t i n t o t h e h e a d
assembly for use during transport.
2. Spindle lock
Allows the user to keep the blade from
rotating while tightening or loosening the
blade bolt during blade replacement or
removal.
3. Lock-Off Tab
The ambidextrous tab must be rotated to
the left to activate the power switch.
4. Power Switch
The power switch energizes the unit when
it is depressed.
5. Switch Handle
This handle contains the power switch.
The blade is lowered into the workpiece
by lowering the handle. The blade is
pushed through the workpiece by pushing
on the handle.
6. Lower Blade Guard
Helps to protect your hands from the
spinning blade. It retracts as the blade is
lowered.
7. Blade
Use only 12" blades with 1" arbor holes.
8. Fixed Fence
Supports the workpiece.
9. Insert Plate
Minimizes workpiece tear-out.
10. Tool Mounting Pads
Four areas to clamp, bolt, or nail the saw
to a flat work surface.
11. Vertical Clamp
Provides fast clamping of workpiece.
12. Miter-lock Knob
Locks the miter-saw table at any desired
miter angle.
13. ShadowLight
The LED light casts a shadow of the
blade to help identify where the blade will
contact the workpiece.

14. Miter Scale with Miter Detents
This scale allows you to read and set the
miter angles easily. There are nine (9)
miter detents for fast and accurate miter
cuts at common miter angles.
15. Miter-Detent Lock Button
Depress the miter-detent lock button
down to override miter detents. Depress
and push in the miter-dent lock button
to lock out the detent function. Push the
miter-detent lock button down again to
release the button and re-engage the
detent function.
16. Table
Sits in the base, provides workpiece
support, rotates for desired miter cuts,
and rotates the head assembly.
17. Vertical Clamp positions
There are two (2) positions in the base for
the workpiece clamp.
18. Base
Provides working surface to support
workpiece.
19. Extension-Lock Buttons
There is one extension-lock button for
each of the table extensions on the sides
of the base. Depress the extension-lock
button to unlock the table extension.
Table extensions automatically lock in
either fully open or fully closed positions.
20. Table Extensions
Provide extra support and clamping area
on each end of the base. Each table
extension locks in only two positions: fully
closed and fully open.
21. Sliding Fences
Provide maximum height support for the
workpiece and slide away from blade
for easy bevel and compound cuts. The
fences also have holes, which can be
used to secure an auxiliary fence.
22. Head-Assembly Lock Pin
Used to lock the head assembly in the
lower position for easy transportation.
23. ShadowLight On/Off Switch
Turns the LED ShadowLight system on
and off.
