SYSTEM USE:
Step 1.
After the Counterweight Base has been assembled and leveled at the job site by following the
above procedure, the available space around the set up area will determine the extension distance
required for the Crossmember Extension. The correct amount of weight must then be placed on the
Counterweight Base. Refer to the table and illustration in Figure 5. The table provides the amount of
weight required as a counterweight, depending on the reach of the Offset Mast and the number of
holes exposed on the Crossmember Extension.
Step 2.
Remove the counterweight Cover Plates (Figure 5, item 8) after unthreading and removing the
security nuts. Install (stack) the required counterweight plates onto the weight mount poles with the
weight mount poles protruding through the matching hole in each counterweight plate. If possible,
ensure all poles have an equal amount of weight.
Step 3.
After the required number of weight plates have been installed, replace the Cover Plates on the
weight mount poles and tighten all four security nuts snugly.
Step 4:
Recheck the assembly to make certain it is level and that each of the four feet is in fi rm contact with
the job site surface.

COUNTERWEIGHT CART ASSEMBLY: (Refer to Figure 4)
Step 1.
Determine the location of the cart. The davit arm attachment point must be as close as possible to
directly over the work area.
Step 2.
Verify the cart is level and the Locking Swivel Wheels are in the locked position.
Step 3.
If applicable, insert Leg Support Posts into both Leg Brackets and fully insert quick release pin at
desired height position. If not applicable, then use the jacks to position the desired height.
Step 4.
Fully insert both Leg Brackets into Crossmember End Housing. Fully insert positive locking pins in
holes closest to the center of the Crossmember End Housing.
Step 5.
Fully insert Crossmember Extension into Crossmember End Housing. Pull back the Crossmember
Extension slightly until pin holes align at the position that keeps the Crossmember Extension at the
fullest possible insertion depth into Crossmember End Housing. Fully insert positive locking pin.
Step 6.
Fully insert Main Support Tube into Center Support and insert quick release pins.
Step 7.
Fully insert the Main Support Tube through the Fixed Support Tube until the quick release pin holes
are aligned. Fully insert a quick release pin.
Step 8.
Insert Crossmember Extension into Center Support to any position that aligns quick release pin
holes. Insert a quick release pin.
