IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To ensure the safe operation of this machine, you must read and understand all warnings and instructions in this book. If you do not
understand, ask your supervisor.
WARNING: INDICATES A POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS SITUATION WHICH, IF NOT AVOIDED, COULD RESULT IN DEATH OR
SERIOUS INJURY.
WARNING: Do not use the machine without reading the instruction sheet.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
1. You must be trained to operate this machine. This machine is to be operated for its intended use only.
2. This machine is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the machine by a
person responsible for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the machine.
4. Do not operate this machine unless it is completely assembled.
5. Always use a three-wire electrical system connected to the electrical ground. For maximum protection against electrical shock, use a
circuit that is protected by a ground fault circuit interrupter. Consult your electrical contractor.
6. To prevent electric shock, always remove the electrical plug from the electrical outlet before doing any repairs or maintenance and
when leaving the machine unattended.
7. To prevent electric shock, keep the machine surface dry. Do not subject to rain. Store the machine in a dry building area. Clean the
machine with a dry cloth only.
8. Machines can cause an explosion when near flammable materials and vapors. Do not use this machine with or near fuels, grain
dust, solvents, thinners, or other flammable materials. Do not use flammables to clean this machine.
9. A qualified or authorized person must do maintenance and repairs.
10. To prevent damage to the power cord, do not move this machine over the power cord. Always lift the power cord over the machine.
Do not pull or carry cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Keep cord away from
heated surfaces.
11. Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If the machine is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or
dropped into water, bring it to a service center.
12. This machine has been designed for use with the pad driver and pads or brushes specified by the manufacturer. The fitting of other
pad drivers may affect its safety.
13. Risk of explosion. Floor sanding can result in an explosive mixture of fine dust and air. Use floor sanding machine only in well-
ventilated area. Never inhale dust created by the use of this machine.
14. Unplug machine from power source before changing pad.
15. Always wear personal protective equipment when operating this machine.
