F 36 0035 EVA
Carefully push forward with the hand the auxiliary
turn signal light (1) in the direction of the arrow and
then take it out to the side.
If the auxiliary turn signal light will not move,
it may be necessary to use a flat-tip screwdriver
to disassemble it.
F 36 0036 EVA
Then disconnect the yellow auxiliary turn signal
light (1) from the connector (2).
Connect the new, white auxiliary turn signal light
and reinstall it in the reverse order of disassembly.
When fitting the auxiliary turn signal light take
care not to dislocate or damage the rubber seal.
Models 2.8 and M 3.2 in the US version
require the exchange of the side marker lights on
right and left. The work sequence corresponds to
the procedure for exchanging the auxiliary turn
signal lights.
3. Exchange rear indicator lights
To convert the vehicle to white direction indicator
lights, the bulb holder and rear light units on both
sides must be changed.
F 36 0037 EVA
To do this, undo the star-shaped nut (1) by hand,
carefully draw out the bulb holder (2) and fold it
downwards.
To disassemble the bulb holder on the driver's
side, the warning triangle will have to be removed
in four-cylinder models.
F 36 0038 EVA
Next release the plug-in connector (1) from the
bulb holder (2) and remove this. Now undo the
two hexagon-head screws (3) of the rear light unit.
F 36 0039 EVA
Finally draw the rear light unit (1) out backwards
from the vehicle.
Install the new bulb holder and the new rear light
unit with white direction indicator light in the
vehicle in the reverse order of disassembly.
When fitting the new, white direction indicator
light, care should be taken to see that the rubber
seal (2) on the boot lid does not get caught in and
damaged.
