MATERIALS
A 1 Towbar Mainframe
B 1 R/H Sidearm
C 5 M10X40X1.5 Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (20mm OD)
D 1 M10X50X1.5 Bolts, Lock Washer, 2 Flat Washers (20mm OD) and nut.
ZP 1 Flip up electrical plate (Z99)
ZQ 1 Electrical Plate Angle (ZEQ 5)
For use with either
RN98 Flange neck option – ZF3000. Note: This tow bar must be used with either a Witter Tow ball (part number Z11) or Class
A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the tow bar.
RN98Q Detachable neck option – ZQ3000. Please refer to ZQ fitting instructions for installation
FITTING
Remove and disconnect rear light clusters (2 Torx screws,

Remove bumper (2 plastic studs under each light cluster, 2 clips in each wheel arch and 1 screw hidden

behind the arch liner. This will need to be loosened to gain access. Remove 4Torx screws on top edge of
bumper followed by the remaining screws along underside of bumper. Gently pull bumper tips outwards before
gently pulling bumper rearward, disconnect wiring loom at plugs.
Remove boot floor, spare wheel padding and crash beam (3 bolts each side). Keep existing sealing pads for

modification. Reuse sealing pads after cutting relevant slots for Side arms (A and B) Seal ends of
chassis rails with tape and suitable sealant to prevent ingress of water.
For 7 seats fold the back seats up and forward. Remove Inner trim and storage bins to obtain access to

mounting holes. For improvement the left side the Vent grill can be removed to improve access for rearmost
mounting.
Insert Sidearm (B) into chassis rails as shown, loosely attach using Bolts (C). Note: Holes in chassis rails for

Bolts (C) are hidden with tape and a layer of foam
On left side bend/remove the metal flap blocking access to the chassis rails. Remove outside bungs on the

outer skin to allow for insertion of bolts (C ). Note: Please be aware of a plastic fastener down the chassis rail
navigate side arm past this and Insert crossbar (A). Align the captives with the holes down the chassis rail,
Loosely fit Bolts (C ).
7. Loosely attach Towbar Mainframe (A) to Side arms (B) using remaining Bolts (C and D).
Tighten all bolts to recommended torque settings, refit all bungs, reattach bumper..

9. Attach neck option and electrical angle (ZQ) and plate (ZP) to centre profile holes

Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M10 - 52 Nm, M12
- 80 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm Grade
10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm
